Love God, Love People, Find Life.
We exist to be faithful to God’s call and purpose. To love all people and to help them find real life in Jesus Christ. Matthew 22:34-40, 28:16-20; John 10:10; Jeremiah 29:11.
Beliefs
We believe in the one God of the Bible:
who exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 14:16-17; John 14:25-26; 2 Corinthians 13:13; Gen 1:26; 3:22).
We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God:
and acknowledge him as our Lord and Savior. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His death, burial, resurrection, and His miracles. He died to make total payment for the sins of humankind. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and He is the only mediator between God and man. (Luke 1:34-352; Corinthians 5:21; Hebrew 4:15; John 20:30).
We believe the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy and the convincing Word of God.
It is totally true in all that it affirms without any mixture of error and is our supreme authority for faith, behavior, and standard for living. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20, 21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5).
We believe the Holy Spirit is a person sent to indwell, teach, guide and empower the believer.
He lives in every believer in Jesus Christ, with power for witnessing and understanding of spiritual truth. He is the giver of spiritual gifts, and we believers are to be under His daily control. His presence quickens both supernatural power and sanctified character. (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16).
We believe in Christ’s death on the cross and His resurrection as the only cure for sin.
In His shed blood, there is forgiveness and cleansing from sin; in His death and burial, there is release from the old selfish nature. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing His life for us. (Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:14, Psalm 103:3; Romans 3:25).
We believe Adam & Eve, created in God’s image, were originally created perfectly. However, because of Adam’s disobedience, the human race is lost, sinful, and was separated from God.
Because of sin, humanity is under spiritual deception from the devil—a fallen, created, spiritual being--who encourages rebellion against God. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2).
We believe that God has chosen to rescue (redeem) fallen humanity through a pre-designed plan that was conceived before the world began.
This salvation occurs by turning from sin and placing one’s faith in Jesus Christ. It is God’s free gift to us and cannot be earned or purchased through our own good deeds. It is purely by God’s grace given to us through faith. In salvation, we have forgiveness of sins, right standing with God, sin’s penalty paid, and the gift of eternal life. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:17).
We believe, God calls and empowers every Christian to live a life of inward purity in heart and mind and wholeness of outward life.
This Christ-centered life reveals itself in our moral choices, our ethical values, our social priorities, and our daily behavior which is to reflect in words and deeds the character of Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:1-6; Galatians 5:1-26; Philippians 2:1-18).
We believe marriage, as defined by the Bible, is between a biological man and a biological woman
for the purpose of upholding God’s divine order, practicing Jesus’ presence, and the bringing forth of children. (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:18-25; Ecclesiastes 9:9; Ephesians 5:22-23; Matthew 19:4-6).
We believe all those who believe in Jesus Christ and are born again of the Holy Spirit.
These believers make up the church worldwide and are instructed to locally gather for prayer, fellowship, and teaching of God’s Word. We (the church) are then commanded to go and preach the good news of God’s salvation through Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark16:15-16; Acts 1:8).
We believe Water Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
One who commits his/her life to Christ is baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; signifying death to self, sin, and Satan. Serving as a display of newness of life with Jesus Christ.
Why we partake in Communion:
The Lord’s Supper is symbolic of His body and His blood and carries the spiritual presence of Christ in both wine and bread. It is a Holy celebration with the Lord and His people in which we remember His death, celebrate His presence, and rejoice in His return. (I Corinthians 11:23-34).
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ
to the earth and the bodily resurrection of the dead. The dead and the living will stand before Jesus Christ, the ultimate Judge, and Redeemer. Those who place their trust in Christ will receive everlasting life with God; those who reject Christ will receive an everlasting penalty and eternal separation from the presence of God. (John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Cor. 2:7-9).
